| The card is issued when you open a basic uk bank account. These accounts are usually given to students, teenagers, people on a low income or someone with no/poor credit history. |

| The first thing you'll notice when you try to use your card to buy stuff online is that a lot of shops dont accept it. You wont be able to use your Visa Electron online at most of the big name stores including Debenhams, John Lewis, M&S and Tesco. However, all is not lost, a growing number of shops are now starting to accept the electron card online. |
